What is tea tree oil?
Tea tree oil (melaleuca oil, if you want to get scientific) is derived from the leaves of the Australian tea tree plant. It’s known for its odor eliminating, air purifying, and cleaning properties.
How does Azuna work?
How does Azuna work?
Azuna gel products use a dual-action process to neutralize odors caused by microbes. Our tea tree oil-based formula works continuously through a combination of evaporative diffusion and natural airflow, discreetly eliminating odors for up to ninety days. Our slow-release formula ensures that Azuna is constantly treating your air.
How long does Azuna last?
How long does Azuna last?
The length of time depends on what product you use. Our sprays provide a more immediate burst of freshness, while our gels maintain constant odor protection for 60 to 90 days. Azuna’s dissipation rate may increase if you’re using it to combat heavy smoke or pet odors, or near a fan.
How much gel should I use?
How much gel should I use?
Each ounce of gel covers approximately 100 square feet for 60 to 90 days. That means you’d need 12 ounces of gel to cover the average two-bedroom apartment (in America, that’s 1,200 square feet). Our 24 ounce gel refill pouch covers 2,400 square feet—the average size of a single-family home.
How do I open the Azuna pod?
How do I open the Azuna pod?
Using our plastic pods is simple. Remove the lid to peel off the inner seal, then replace the lid and remove that top sticker. All that’s left? Set where needed and take a deep breath. When your gel turns amber and begins to solidify, it’s time for a refresh.
How do I remove and dispose of the old gel?
How do I remove and dispose of the old gel?
Because our gel is plant-powered, disposal is simple. Scoop out your old gel using a spoon or paper towel, then toss in the trash. A quick wipe of your empty jar with a fresh paper towel is all you need to prepare for an immediate refill.
How do I clean my glass jar?
How do I clean my glass jar?
Our gel is biodegradable and plant-powered, so you won’t need to do much. Once you’ve disposed of your old gel, simply wipe the container out with a paper towel. You can also rinse leftover gel down your garbage disposal for a final refresh (but not if you have a septic system, please). If you’re looking for a more thorough clean, you can wash the jar with soap and water—but no need to wash the lid.
Is it toxic? What if my cat/dog/child ingested some?
Is it toxic? What if my cat/dog/child ingested some?
Azuna is not toxic when used as directed. Because our active ingredient (pure, 100% Australian tea tree oil) is completely natural and environmentally safe, Azuna shouldn’t cause a reaction if it comes into contact with the skin unless there’s an underlying allergy. And, as a low-concentrate gel, it shouldn’t cause any long-term issues if ingested orally. However, our products aren’t meant for topical use.
Is Azuna Safe for My Pets?
Is Azuna Safe for My Pets?
Azuna’s low-concentration tea tree oil formula is safe for pets when used as directed. None of our products disperse tea tree oil droplets like a diffuser; instead, they release minute particles into the air. However, it’s important to handle Azuna like you would any other household cleaning product, and ensure that it’s never applied topically or ingested by your pets. Like humans, your pets may have different sensitives. If your pet exhibits any sensitivities or allergies to Azuna, discontinue usage immediately.
